About the teacher

Hello!  :)

My name is Anita, and I am the founder of Yoga Path Within. I have been teaching yoga for six years.

I became aware of the importance of body posture at a very early age. My mum was a physiotherapist, and I remember her walking behind me, correcting my posture and feet position.
She would often warn me if I was slouching whilst studying.
My uncle had more radical methods—he would slap me between the shoulder blades if my posture wasn't right! 😅

At the age of 16, I started to experience neck pain that has stayed with me to this day. Although my pain is caused by cervical spine deformation, I have learned how to manage and live with it over the last 30 years. My main goal was to maintain a mobile neck and avoid "frozen neck" or shoulder syndrome—and I have succeeded in that.

Alongside my yoga teaching, I work in the travel industry and spend the majority of my working day in front of a screen. Therefore, I also struggle with lower back pain but I am managing it with yoga and walking. Personal experience, combined with my professional training, led me to develop a programme where yoga practice and scientific research come together.

With this course, my aim is to help professionals address and prevent health issues associated with a sedentary, desk-based lifestyle.

I look forward to supporting you on this journey.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via Email.
